The modern system of remote employment adopts the features of an adaptive-reactive management model, characterized by the cyclical nature of management responses, the blurring of boundaries between crisis and current management, and the integration of emergency solutions into the daily functioning of IT companies. This indicates the emergence of a new type of management reality, in which the organization's stability is ensured not by avoiding risks but by the ability to adapt to them systematically.
The article examines the transformation of the remote employment management system in the IT sector amid uncertainty and increasingly destabilizing factors in the digital environment. It is substantiated that modern remote employment no longer functions solely as a form of work organization but is transforming into a complex adaptive system whose effectiveness depends on the speed of managerial response, continuity of digital interaction, and the organization’s ability to maintain the stability of internal processes. It has been established that emergency management decisions are increasingly integrated into the everyday management systems of IT companies and no longer function exclusively as crisis-response instruments.
The study analyzes the impact of external shocks, cyber risks, disruptions in digital infrastructure, personnel relocation, and communication breakdowns on the functioning of remote teams. It is determined that under high uncertainty, the management process shifts from classical administrative models toward adaptive-reactive coordination mechanisms grounded in operational decision-making and the flexible restructuring of internal processes.
A classification of emergency management decisions within the remote employment system of the IT sector is proposed according to organizational, technical, communication, personnel, security, and psychological-support directions. A conceptual cycle for adaptive management of remote employment has been developed, reflecting the relationship among external risks, destabilization of digital interactions, emergency managerial responses, and the subsequent transformation of internal coordination mechanisms.
It is proven that the competitiveness of IT companies in the modern unstable environment is determined not only by the level of digitalization but also by the ability of the management system to function in a mode of continuous adaptation to crisis challenges.
