The article examines theoretical and methodical approaches to assessing the economic security of enterprises, taking into account the specifics of the construction industry. A critical analysis of the main methods of assessing economic security was carried out, their advantages, limitations and suitability for use at construction enterprises were determined. It is noted that assessing the level of economic security of construction enterprises is a necessary prerequisite for the formation of an effective management system in conditions of instability and post-war recovery of the economy. It is shown that the most expedient for assessing the economic safety of construction enterprises is the use of the combined indicator-integral method. This approach provides a combination of operational monitoring of key functional components with the possibility of obtaining a generalized comprehensive assessment of the level of economic security, which is important for both current management and strategic planning. The expediency of using the combined indicator-integral method as the most adaptive and informative tool for comprehensive assessment of the level of economic security in the conditions of project-oriented activity, high capital intensity and riskiness of the construction sphere is substantiated. This evaluation method consists in the formation of a system of quantitative indicators based on the main functional components of the economic security of a construction enterprise, followed by the aggregation of normalized indicators into a single integral index that reflects the general level of security and stability of the enterprise. The proposed approach provides the possibility of operational monitoring of key indicators, generalization of results in the form of an integral indicator and improvement of the validity of management decisions aimed at strengthening the economic stability and competitiveness of construction enterprises.
