Abstract

The article considers modern and scientific approaches to defining the concept of "export potential of the agricultural sector" of the economy, based on the study of which it is recommended to consider this concept as a systemic, multi-component category, which is formed under the influence of socio-economic, natural and climatic, political, regulatory, organizational factors, based on its inherent principles and taking into account the factors of the external and internal environment of functioning, the capabilities of the country's agricultural sector to ensure the competitiveness of agricultural products in foreign markets, and the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex. The role of the export potential of the agricultural sector in ensuring the development of foreign trade relations is substantiated. A model of the agricultural sector export potential, which allows tracking the main relationships of the presented interpretation, as well as additional dimensions of its formation and development, is proposed.
