It has been proven that, in the context of economic instability, digitalization, technological modernization, changing market conditions, and growing security and resource risks, strategic management is a key prerequisite for the controlled development of an enterprise. It ensures the alignment of long-term goals with internal potential, a timely response to changes in the external environment, and a well-founded allocation of resources. It is proposed to define strategic management of enterprise development as a continuous process of formulating, implementing, and adjusting strategic decisions aimed at the qualitative transformation of resources, competencies, and business processes, adaptation to transformational changes, and the achievement of long-term goals. The main groups of transformational changes have been systematized, among which the following are identified: economic, technological and digital; organizational and managerial; market-related; social and human resources-related; institutional and regulatory; security-related; and resource-related. Their impact on the enterprise’s strategic goals, resources, business processes, organizational structure, and performance results is examined. The study summarizes the systemic, process-based, resource-based, adaptive, risk-oriented, and digital approaches, as well as the dynamic capabilities approach. It justifies the feasibility of combining these approaches within an integrated framework capable of comprehensively accounting for the enterprise’s internal capabilities and changes in its operating environment.
This study examines the process of strategic management of enterprise development, which encompasses the analytical and diagnostic component, the strategic decision-making component, and the implementation and control component. Priority areas for its improvement have been identified, including the introduction of strategic monitoring, the use of scenario planning, the development of dynamic capabilities, the digitization of information and analytical support, the alignment of strategic goals with resource potential, the integration of risk management, and the development of a system of strategic performance indicators. Implementing the proposed measures will help increase the enterprise’s adaptability, resilience, efficiency, and competitiveness and ensure its long-term development.
