CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT MARKET IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The article examines the state and prospects of the agricultural machinery market infrastructure in Ukraine. This infrastructure is understood as a multifunctional system that combines production, supply, servicing, financing, logistics, information support, and staffing for the agricultural sector. Its effective functioning determines the level of technical provision of agricultural producers, the pace of machinery renewal, and the competitiveness of agricultural production. The study analyses the technical equipment of agricultural enterprises and household farms, the condition of the material and technical base, and trends in machinery renewal. Particular attention is paid to disparities in technical provision between large agricultural producers and small farms, excessive workload on tractors and harvesters, and the dependence of the domestic market on imported machinery. It is established that domestic manufacturers face constraints caused by technological backwardness, insufficient investment, limited export opportunities, and strong competition from foreign producers. Special attention is given to service and repair infrastructure, financial and credit support, logistics, information provision, and staffing as key components of market infrastructure. The paper concludes that further development of the agricultural machinery market infrastructure in Ukraine requires modernization of the material and technical base, support for domestic machinery manufacturing, expansion of service networks, improvement of financial instruments, training of qualified personnel, harmonization with EU standards, and strengthening of state support.
