Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of relocation and adaptation strategies of multinational corporations (MNCs) amidst the full-scale military aggression in Ukraine. In the current environment of military conflict, the issue of ensuring business continuity and relocating production and logistics capacities becomes key to maintaining the economic resilience of the country and global supply chains. The research analyzes the main challenges for MNCs, including the destruction of manufacturing and logistical infrastructure, the limitation of secure transport corridors, the migration of skilled labour, and the necessity of ensuring employee protection. The methodological basis of the study includes a comprehensive analysis of data from the KSE Institute, Opendatabot, and Forbes Ukraine, focusing on the period of 2022-2024. Particular attention is paid to the strategic selection of new operational regions: factors of attraction to safe western and central oblasts are analyzed. The study highlights that for MNCs, relocation is not just an administrative change of address but a reactive measure of crisis management and business continuity planning (BCP). Optimization pathways for relocation strategies are proposed, which include leveraging government support programs, implementing flexible management models (remote work, hybrid offices), and intensive cooperation with regional economic administrations. The recommendations are aimed at preserving production potential, increasing the economic efficiency of relocated enterprises, and ensuring their positive socio-economic impact on the recipient regions. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the issues and proposes practical measures that can ensure the effective relocation and recovery of international business even under difficult circumstances, contributing to a 5-10% increase in regional GDP through tax revenues and employment.
