Abstract

The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of corporate governance and internal control as key components of the economic security system of an enterprise. The essence of the economic security of an enterprise is determined as a complex characteristic of the level of protection of resources, financial interests and management processes from internal and external threats. It is substantiated that in the current conditions of an unstable economic environment, digitalization and globalization processes, an effective corporate governance system is an important factor in ensuring the stable development of an enterprise, increasing its competitiveness and minimizing risks.

The role of internal control in ensuring the legality, efficiency and effectiveness of the enterprise's economic activities is analyzed. The main tasks of internal control are determined, including ensuring the reliability of financial reporting, controlling the use of resources, preventing fraud and corruption risks, assessing the effectiveness of management decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing financial and information risks. The main functions of internal control are investigated, in particular control, analytical, information, preventive and coordination.

Particular attention is paid to the digital transformation of corporate governance and the impact of modern information technologies on the economic security system of the enterprise. It has been established that the use of digital platforms, automated control systems, artificial intelligence technologies and Big Data contributes to increasing the efficiency of management processes, improving risk management mechanisms and strengthening the economic security of the enterprise. At the same time, it has been determined that digitalization is accompanied by the emergence of new threats related to cybersecurity and corporate information protection.
