INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISES IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of innovative approaches to enterprise development in Ukraine under conditions of economic transformation, digitalization, European integration processes, and wartime challenges. The research emphasizes that innovation has become not only a source of competitive advantage but also a prerequisite for resilience, recovery, and long-term sustainability of enterprises. Particular attention is paid to the role of small and medium-sized enterprises as key drivers of regional development, employment generation, and structural flexibility of the national economy.

The paper analyzes contemporary directions of innovative activity, including digital transformation of business processes, the development of startup ecosystems, business incubation mechanisms, venture financing, and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into managerial decision-making. The growing importance of sustainable development principles and ESG-oriented strategies is highlighted as an integral component of modern enterprise management. The study identifies major barriers to innovation activity, such as limited access to financial resources, institutional constraints, technological gaps, and cybersecurity risks.

Based on the generalization of theoretical approaches and current practical trends, the author proposes an integrated model of innovative enterprise development. The model combines four strategic contours: technological, organizational-process, market, and socio-sustainability dimensions. Their synergistic interaction ensures systemic modernization, strategic coherence, and increased adaptability of enterprises to a volatile business environment.

The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of applying the proposed model to design innovation-oriented development programs, improve strategic management systems, and strengthen the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises in conditions of economic uncertainty.
