The article studies and summarizes the successful experience of forming a business ecosystem of one of the territorial communities of Ukraine. It was found that for the formation of a business ecosystem, the choice of different approaches is necessary, in particular: institutional; value-oriented; platform; stakeholder; cluster; systemic, innovative and oriented to the development of the territory. Such approaches turned out to be insufficient for solving resource problems. The combination of two approaches - innovative and oriented to the development of the territory formed a creative approach. The essence of this approach is that the business ecosystem was formed through innovation and rapid adaptation of business to market requirements. In addition, it takes into account specialization, the territory of partnership between business, the municipality and residents of the community. It was determined that the driving forces of community development are innovative initiatives. They create opportunities for urban areas to become centers of development. A sign of community stability is the successful functioning of business ecosystems. The functioning of such a structure allows generating a synergistic effect. All participants of the ecosystem create common assets that none of them could create acting outside the system.
The experience of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where such a business ecosystem has been formed and is successfully functioning, is studied. It uses the uniqueness of territorial conditions, maximally attracts regional resources, skillfully uses existing infrastructure and public administration tools. Its name is "Promprylad. Renovation". The ecosystem demonstrates close cooperation between business, community and city authorities. The history of the ecosystem's creation is studied. Currently, it unites 52 businesses, including: 70% commercial and 30% social. The areas of their activity are summarized. The results of the ecosystem's activity during its functioning are presented.
