Abstract

Global climate changes, geopolitical conflicts, economic crises and pandemics create serious risks for the stability of the functioning of the food production and supply system. The problem of the ensuring food security is the lack of the sufficiently flexible and integrated monitoring system that will allow timely response to modern challenges and provide the population with high-quality and affordable food products.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the effectiveness of the using of digital and analytical technologies in monitoring systems, which will allow determining the possibilities of Ukraine's integration into international food safety control systems.

The article examines the using of digital technologies and analytical platforms, which allow conducting the comprehensive analysis of food security and predicting trends in crisis conditions based on the integration of data from various sources. The currently food security challenges related to climate change, military conflicts, economic and financial risks have been identified. The essence of the risks in the process of research has been determined and the ways of using digital technologies to overcome the risks have been proposed.

Analysis of the dynamics of Ukraine's export revenue from the supply of cereals and sunflower oil, as well as from the supply of meat, dairy products, vegetables and fruits on the basis of statistical information has been provided. Negative trends in production and exports due to the war and the destruction of infrastructure have been established. It is shown that Ukraine continues to maintain the status of one of the leading suppliers of agricultural products to the world market.

It is shown that the using of digital technologies as key tools in overcoming currently food security challenges allow providing the operational monitoring, forecasting and risk management. It has been proven that ensuring stability and adaptability to the global food system requires increasing the level of international integration of our country into global digital food safety monitoring systems.
