EXTERNAL PREREQUISITES FOR ADAPTATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TO MODERN REQUIREMENTS

The article considers the issues of adaptation of higher education institutions to modern requirements. Adaptation to changes in the external environment can be carried out, first of all, taking into account the concept of flexible management, which originates from the theory of "situational management". The concept of advanced management, which allows an educational institution to determine the requirements for the competencies of specialists in the future and take preventive measures to ensure that the competencies of graduate students meet the requirements of society and its economic sphere, can be no less relevant for free economic education. In the process of adaptation, domestic free economic zones can also contribute to a conceptual approach to integrated management, which combines elements of four management approaches: marketing, system, situational and strategic.
The main factors that need adaptive changes in higher education institutions are outlined. The most important problems that were identified during the adaptation of higher education students to distance learning are highlighted. Ways to solve them are suggested.
Priorities for the adaptation of higher education institutions in three areas are indicated: pragmatization of educational activities, formation of scientific and innovative space for the implementation of university activities; formation of the university worldview space of "community living and studying together".
Fulfilling the priorities of adaptation of a higher education institution to modern conditions will allow a higher education institution to enter the world system of education and science. The most important priorities should be the practice of forming the University as a reliable and responsible partner for various domestic stakeholders, the international business community, as well as overcoming the characteristic formalism, subjective assessments, the right to provide services in the field of education. Such priorities should serve as the basis for ensuring the quality of higher education with their subsequent conquest of key segmental niches in the relevant international and domestic markets for educational services.
