The article reveals the essence of the security mechanism, which ensures an increase in the level of competitiveness of enterprises under martial law. It was established that the security mechanism can be implemented both by the state and by the enterprise. Security in information technology and cyber security is especially important because, in today's world, information is a valuable asset that needs to be protected from unauthorized access, use, and damage. This aspect can manifest both at the level of the state and at the level of the enterprise. The purpose of this article is to study the security mechanisms that contribute to increasing the level of competitiveness of enterprises under martial law. In the process of writing the article, various general scientific and special research methods were applied. In particular, deductive and inductive methods were used to study directions for the implementation of the security mechanism. The graphic method was used to visualize the research results. The abstract-logical method was used for theoretical generalizations and the formation of conclusions. The main purpose of the security mechanism is to prevent unwanted events and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data, systems, and resources. The security mechanism helps to eliminate risks related to intrusion, hacking, fraud, data loss, and other threats. It can fully prevent unauthorized use, access, or modification of data or resources and ensure that only authorized users are allowed to maintain access to confidential information or operate the system. The main stages of developing a security mechanism are threat analysis, planning, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and updating. The security mechanism for increasing the level of competitiveness of enterprises focuses on the development and implementation of measures to protect employees, ensuring protection against cyber-attacks and cyber-espionage; the implementation of flexible production systems; the development of mechanisms for rapid response to changes in external and internal conditions; the establishment of relations and cooperation with government bodies and regulators; and maintaining trust and cooperation with the public. It is substantiated that the development of a security mechanism is a complex and long-term process based on the acquired experience and specialized knowledge in the field of security for its successful implementation.
