The article discusses approaches and tools for digital transformation of business entities. The impact of digital transformation on business models of economic entities and their business processes is shown. It is determined that an integrated approach to digital transformation through the integration of technological solutions into the structure and processes of an enterprise allows creating new ones and significantly increasing the efficiency of the existing business model. It is shown that transformation requires quality tools and effective management of the process. Among other things, any change in the status quo creates a sense of personal insecurity among employees. Therefore, it is necessary to act in such a way that employees feel and understand that their superiors really know what they are doing. Three possible strategic directions of digital transformation have been identified: turnkey digital business, digital packaging, and digital refueling. At the same time, digital transformation requires a combination of several communication solutions (including mobile, fixed, satellite, hybrid and Internet solutions) optimized to guarantee the best user experience, as well as the implementation of SDN (software-defined networking) to ensure business flexibility and adaptability. As applied to domestic practice, digital transformation implies systemic, accelerated digitalization of business activities and integration with the directions of the national program for the development of the digital economy. The program dictates the need to stimulate domestic consumption, develop product exports and build platforms that provide end-to-end digital solutions for value creation and competitiveness of Russian business. The author concludes that digital transformation triggers a continuous process of business change, in which its stability and resilience will be increasingly eroded, and enterprises will become more and more unstable. In order to increase the manageability and enable digital transformation of business structures, it is necessary to build an effective process-oriented management system in them. And only a business entity that is aware of its core business processes can become a digital ecosystem and get ahead in the competition with less knowledgeable competitors.
